Music Tells A Story
Born and raised in Arizona, MYMOU's unique sounds offer distinct electronic tracks coupled with live instruments that harness nostalgic melodies and beats that recall both the golden era of classic synthpop 80's hits and modern synthpop of today. Introduced to the Beatles as a toddler and seeing Depeche Mode as his first concert, MYMOU's distinct sound takes influences that range from New Order and Talking Heads, to STRFKR and MGMT.
Taught the piano at age 5, he excelled on to learning trombone for school and drums at age 10, told he was a natural and moved on to guitar and bass guitar in his teenage years and never stopped learning. He enjoys making music from various synthesizers, drum machines and likes to play grand piano. MYMOU graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in Real Estate Finance in which he currently works in the industry.
His dedication and passion to writing his own lyrics, playing melodies on various instruments and orchestrating drum beats is immense; he records, sings, mixes and produces music all from his bedroom DAW.
